About Me
I am Anshika Gautam, a young creative from Nepal with an academic background in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science. While science has shaped the way I think, poetry, literature, public speaking and creative expression have shaped the way I communicate and understand the world.
My Story
I have always been drawn to the power of words—whether written on a page, spoken in front of an audience, or used to turn an idea into something meaningful. My creative work explores identity, relationships, emotion and small experiences that stay with us.
My Creative Direction
I want to continue developing as a writer and creative communicator while exploring the wider possibilities of art and design. I am especially interested in work that allows imagination, language and visual creativity to exist together.

I have been involved in youth-focused initiatives that encouraged participation, collaboration and community engagement.
UNESCO Hackathon 2025
I participated in a 2025 hackathon organized by UNESCO, an experience that added innovation, problem-solving and collaborative thinking to my extracurricular journey.
Literature Fest 6.0
My participation in literary activities reflects my continuing interest in writing, creative communities and public expression.
Public Speaking & Debate
Public speaking has been a consistent part of my creative journey. I have competed in speech and debate, earning placements and recognition. These experiences helped me become more confident in presenting ideas and expressing myself clearly.
Beyond Literature
My academic background and participation in a robotics workshop reflect my curiosity beyond the arts. I value being a creative person who can move between different ways of thinking.

Poetry is the most personal part of my creative practice. I write to explore feelings and questions that are sometimes difficult to express directly.
I Lost Her
I lost her:
The fear I carried
finally showed up
too late for me to recognize
Today, I woke up.
I wasn't sleeping.
But still trapped
in the shock of her death.
I wandered through places
that remembered her,
searching corners, faces, silences
just to find her.
Just to steal a glimpse.
Just to feel her
press against my lungs,
long enough
for me to breathe again.
I pinned her photographs
to the streets of my mind
Stating "Lost" If found, please contact.
Someone stopped me.
Reached into his pocket.
Pulled out
a mirror.
What followed
shook something inside me.
She was me.
I was the one lost.
I was the one wandering,
calling my own name
through empty streets.
But
did I find what I was searching for,
or did I only learn
how deeply
I had disappeared?

Color Palette
So there's another
saying I came across;
People are just like a color palette.
Sometimes, they match
and create a shade so seamless
it hides the flaws they carried alone.
They blend so well
you can't even tell
they were ever separate to begin with.
But most of the time, some colors don't get along.
They are just a beautiful idea in the mind
and nothing more.
And sometimes, they do mix
but the shade turns darker.
Not deeper just heavier.
It doesn't enhance them,
it consumes them.
Both colors slowly forget
what they were on their own.
Their brightness fades
in the name of becoming
something together.
So maybe that's why
choosing your shade matters.
From so many palettes,
so many possibilities
you have to find the one
that doesn't erase you,
but lets you remain
while still becoming
something more.

Why I Write
Writing gives me a way to turn something intangible into something another person can hold, read and feel.
My poems often begin with a simple image or thought and grow into questions about identity, connection and becoming. I do not want my writing to tell readers exactly what to feel. I want it to leave enough space for them to recognize something of themselves in it.
That is also why public speaking matters to me. Writing allows me to explore an idea quietly; speaking allows me to bring that idea into a room. Both are forms of creative expression, and both are ways I have learned to use my voice.

Closing Note
I am still at the beginning of my creative journey. I do not see my science education, literary interests, public speaking, leadership and artistic curiosity as separate parts of who I am. They are different ways of learning how to think, create and communicate.
I want to keep writing. I want to keep speaking. I want to keep learning. Most importantly, I want to create work that feels honest and meaningful.
